Alia Armstrong, a junior at LSU, repeated as the women's 100-meter hurdles winner at home in a wind-legal 12.40 seconds at the Southeastern Conference Championships at Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium in Baton Rouge. Armstrong, who ran an all-conditions collegiate-best effort with her wind-aided 12.31 performance in a qualifying heat, secured the third consecutive 100 hurdles crown for LSU and became the first female athlete to repeat since Kentucky's Jasmine Camacho-Quinn won three in a row from 2016-18. She also equaled the No. 3 wind-legal 100 hurdles performance in collegiate history. Armstrong also contributed to the Tigers winning their seventh straight 4x100-meter relay crown in 42.92 seconds, edging Kentucky in 42.93. More videos |
